Riley, The Amazing

Hello! My name is Riley, and I’m an eastern chipmunk from Woodlands, NH.
I’m an adventurer, and some might even say I’m fearless! Early on, I discovered that I had a special ability to communicate across species. My best friend growing up was Red, a red squirrel, and oh, what fun we had together!
Of course, our adventures sometimes got us into a little trouble. One adventure involving a plastic bag sent me blowing across the forest! Experiences like that helped earn me the nickname “Riley the Amazing.”
Today, I’m fully grown, but I haven’t lost my adventurous spirit. I continue to help my scurry and the other animals of Woodlands, NH when changes in the environment threaten our survival.
During a recent drought, I worked with the beavers of the Riparian Forest as we faced the challenges brought by the lack of water.
Whether I’m exploring somewhere new, helping my scurry, or working with another woodland species, I’m always ready for the next adventure.
After all, I’m Riley the Amazing!

Hello! My name is Shy, and I’m a Bigfoot from Polly’s Crossing in Woodlands, NH. I spend my days looking out for the woodlands and the animals who call it home. Sometimes humans leave things behind, so I pick them up—and every once in a while, I even discover a clever new use for something that might otherwise become litter. You can usually recognize me by my mismatched plaid clothing. Nothing matches, and that’s exactly how I like it! But make no mistake—I’m still a wild creature at heart. I love being outdoors, exploring the woods, and racing through the forest with my good friend Moe the Moose and the other animals of Woodlands, NH. A spring drought grips the woodlands of Mt. Shaw, and survival is suddenly uncertain.
